Cheryllyn Dudley

A former member of South Africa National Assembly since June 1999 until 2019. She has been the ACDP Parliamentary Whip since September 2005 and was elected Chief Whip of smaller political parties during the 3rd democratic parliament.

In 2007 and 2010, Hon. Dudley put forward proposals for private members Bills to amend the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996, in order to include the right to life of the unborn child; and to amend the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act 92 of 1996, as amended by the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Amendment Act 2008, so as to ensure a woman or child is able to make a fully informed choice regarding the termination of her pregnancy.
